About the event
The why behind things is so important. Why is my mind and body so tired? Why do I need to take time for myself? Why is mindfulness actually beneficial? Let's spend this moment exploring some of those why's through a lens of biology, psychology, and mindfulness. During this hour, you will be introduced biological and psychological aspects behind stress. You will learn how you can use this knowledge to better your own life and will leave with a packet of helpful information on coping strategies. As a bonus, we will end with a relaxing Yoga Nidra (deep meditation) practice!Â
No prior experience with yoga, mindfulness, or meditation required. Google Meet will be used for this event.Â
What you will need:Â
- Your computer or devide with audio and videoÂ
- A notebook and a writing utensil
- A yoga mat/couch/floor to lie down
- Any blankets or pillows you will need to make yourself comfy
- Your brain!
